Civil War Store Cards A, B, C & F from Columbia City, Indiana are ascribed to the shop of W.K. Lanphear. Lanphear was the second most prolific issuer of Civil War tokens in Cincinnati. His work is remarkable for the variety of motifs used as reverse dies on store cards. Civil War Store Cards D & E are ascribed to the shop of John Stanton. Stanton was the most prolific issuer of Civil War tokens in Cincinnati. His line of work centered on stamp cutting and branding devices.
