This Civil War Store Card from Cadiz, Indiana is ascribed to the shop of John Stanton. This token is the only known merchant token issued from this town. Stanton was the most prolific issuer of Civil War tokens in Cincinnati. His line of work centered on stamp cutting and branding devices.
